Production Process

Identification and control of environmental impact

Every year, Vermeister S.p.A. entrusts reliable environmental analysis laboratories with the investigation of emissions into the atmosphere, in order to demonstrate full compliance with the mandatory limits, as well as the efficiency of its plants. The investigations conducted, aimed at searching for organic compounds, powders and amines, allow us to highlight with satisfaction that emissions are normally lower than 20% of the limits authorized by the competent authorities and, in some cases, even within the limits of detection. Obviously, when it comes to waste disposal, our company relies on authorized companies registered in the National Register of Companies that manage special waste. We care about the reality of good, not the perception of it.

Safe production process

We have progressively reduced or eliminated dangerous substances well beyond the thresholds established by the regulations, with a consequent reduction in operator exposure. Static and mobile suction systems have been implemented to eliminate even the smallest sources of vapors generated both during laboratory research and development activities and during production phases. The possible emission of residual dust from the vents of the calcium carbonate deposits has prompted us to install a dry dust collector with a filtering medium, capable of continuously controlling and ensuring the levels of environmental performance required by current regulations, with immediate notification of any anomaly. Localized vacuuming represents the best solution to ensure a work environment that is not only safe, but also clean, and plays an important role in ensuring compliance with environmental safety provisions. Vermeister has used specialists in process technology, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and automation, uniting them to outline the entire production process. Safety regulations and environmental protection were important aspects in the design of rooms for the safe storage of all our raw materials. The aerial transport of raw materials to the mixing stations, as well as the mixing itself and the packaging, takes place in automation in order to reduce manual handling with a consequent reduction in operator exposure and possible manual errors. Finally, the low consumption of our plants guarantees energy savings and cuts in waste, resulting in an optimized production chain at every stage.

Technology and transparency

We care very much about the transparency of information with our customers. We believe it is essential to make the users of our products aware of any aspect related to their safety, starting with the content of our products. To better manage this area, Vermeister has equipped itself with special software for the management of chemical products classified according to hazard and transport directives, as well as for the creation of safety data sheets, written instructions for road transport, disposal, hazard labels and company instructions. We are able to automatically generate safety data sheets in 38 languages and for each country, the referencing the respective regulations in force, always up to date. The ability to work on-line makes it possible to manage data in a standardized way on an international level.
